Hemkund Saheb Holidays

Situated at a height of 4329 mts. near the Valley of Flowers, is the holy Hemkund Lokpal Lake. Though the climb is steep and tiring, it provides scenic beauty and majestic view of crystal clear lake surrounded by seven snow clad peaks of the Mighty Himalayas. According to holy Granth Saheb, the 10th Guru of Sikh Faith, Guru Govind Singh meditated on the banks of this lake in his earlier births.
This place is also associated with Laxman, the younger brother of Rama. It is believed that Laxman meditated by the lake and regained his health after being severely wounded by Megnath, son of the Demon Ravan,during the battle.There is a Lakshman Temple, built on the bank of the Lake.

Destinations Covered : Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Joshimath - Govindghat - Badrinath - Rudraprayag

Day 01:
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 02 :
Morning Train to Haridwar and continue drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check in at Hotel. PM visit Temples Haridwar for prayer ceremonies. Night at the Hotel.

Day 03 :
274 kms. Drive to Joshimath. Night at the Hotel.

Day 04 :
22 kms. Drive to Govindghat and further 14 kms. trek to Ghangharia (base camp). Night at the Tent/Hotel.

Day 05 :
5 kms. Trek to Valley of Flowers and back to base camp. Night at the Tent/Hotel.

Day 06 :
6 kms. Trek to Hemkund Lake. Back to base camp and Night at the Tent/Hotel.

Day 07 :
Trek down to Govindghat and then 24 kms. drive to Badrinath. Night at the Hotel.

Day 08 :
Badrinath sight seeing. Night at the Hotel.

Day 09:
After Breakfast drive 160 km. to Rudraprayag. Night at the Hotel.

Day 10 :
164 kms. Drive to Haridwar. Board the Shatabdi Express for Delhi.

Day 11 :
Transfer to the international Airport for flight to Home destination.
